Privacy Policy
Who we are
Desstann Software (“we”, “us”) provides free homebrew tools for PlayStation 5, including PKG Folderizer. This policy explains what data those services handle when you use cloud save features and optional Google Drive or Dropbox linking.
What this service does
PKG Folderizer can back up game save data to a vault we host, and optionally mirror those backups to your Google Drive or Dropbox after you sign in. We do not use your Drive or Dropbox for advertising, profiling, or sharing with other users.
Data we process
- Console install id — a random identifier generated on the console so backups and link sessions stay tied to that installation. It is not your PSN account name or email.
- Save backups — archive files you choose to upload (game save data). They are stored in our vault under your install id and, if you link a provider, mirrored to that account.
- Cloud link tokens — if you connect Google Drive or Dropbox, we store OAuth refresh tokens and a limited account hint (for example email or account id) so we can upload files on your behalf. Tokens are used only for that purpose.
- Diagnostic telemetry (optional product feature) — crash and diagnostic lines the app may send, with install id and app version, to help us fix bugs. Live preview frames may be uploaded while that feature is enabled on a console you control.
- Server logs — standard request metadata (time, status, approximate IP via reverse proxy) needed to operate and secure the service.
Google Drive access
When you choose Connect Google Drive, Google asks you to authorize our application. We request the drive.file scope: we can only create and manage files that this app creates in your Drive (under paths such as PKG-Folderizer/…). We cannot browse your other Drive files.
You can revoke access at any time in your Google Account permissions. After revoke, new mirrors stop; files already in your Drive remain until you delete them.
Dropbox access
When you connect Dropbox, we store a refresh token and upload save archives you create through PKG Folderizer. Revoke access in your Dropbox account settings to stop further uploads.
How we use data
- To provide cloud backup, restore, and optional Drive/Dropbox mirroring you requested
- To keep the service reliable and secure (rate limits, abuse prevention, debugging)
- We do not sell personal data. We do not use Google user data for advertising.
Retention
Vault backups are kept while your install remains active, subject to per-console size and count limits enforced by the server. Stale link codes expire within minutes. OAuth tokens remain until you unlink or revoke access, or we delete inactive data as part of normal operations. Diagnostic log retention follows our telemetry retention settings (on the order of weeks, not indefinite).
Sharing
We do not sell or rent your data. Processing happens on infrastructure we operate (application host and storage). Google and Dropbox process data under their own terms when you authorize those providers. We do not share save contents with other users.
Security
Uploads and OAuth callbacks use HTTPS. Access to vault and link APIs requires a console-side key and install id. No security measure is perfect; do not upload data you cannot afford to expose.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). Do not use cloud linking if you are not allowed to consent to Google or Dropbox’s terms.
Your choices
- Use vault-only backups without linking Drive or Dropbox
- Revoke Google or Dropbox access from those providers’ account settings
- Stop using the feature or uninstall the app
- Contact us to ask about deletion of vault data tied to an install id you control

Changes
We may update this page. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Continued use of cloud saves after an update means you accept the revised policy.
